We Are Healed By His Stripes 3

-Many oppose divine healing and feel they have scriptures to back up their
disbelief. I heard a man say once “scripture language frequently attributes
directly to God what He merely permits”. The enemy has spent centuries
hiding the truth of the gospel. He has covered and recovered and recovered
until what is accepted in today’s Christian “traditions” are in many ways the
opposite of the actual gospel. Don’t take my word for it, study for yourself,
take current Christian tradition and line it up with what the scriptures
actually teach and you will begin to see what many accept as actual
Christian truths are merely men’s opinions or assumptions rooted in
unbelief and fear. Men have created beliefs about God and His word based
off of their own experiences and mental calculations which has led to millions
and millions throughout the centuries of powerless believers. Men and
women who have received salvation and forgiveness of sins but have
stopped short and lived out their lives here on this planet under the grip of
Satan; consumed by poverty and disease, dominated by fear and unbelief.
 “Scripture language frequently attributes directly to God what He
merely permits”.
-Here are some of the scriptures references that men have used to justify
the belief that “God made me sick to teach me something”: Due. 32:39, 1
sam. 2:6, Hos. 6:1, Job 5:18.
 Exodus 12:12 (NKJV) 12 For I will pass through the land of Egypt on
that night, and will strike all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both
man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute
judgment: I am the LORD.
 Exodus 12:13 (NKJV) 13 Now the blood shall be a sign for you on the
houses where you are. And when I see the blood, I will pass over you;
and the plague shall not be on you to destroy you when I strike the
land of Egypt.
-The Lord said “I will strike” and “I will execute judgment”. This manifested
as a plague in the natural. What is happening is God is passing judgment
which allows the destroyer access. Other translations refer to the plague as
the “Destroyer”.

 Judges 2:14 (NKJV) And the anger of the LORD was hot against Israel.
So He delivered them into the hands of plunderers who
despoiled them; and He sold them into the hands of their enemies all
around, so that they could no longer stand before their enemies.
 Psalm 78:61 (NKJV) And delivered His strength into captivity, and His
glory into the enemy’s hand.
-Many times it says the Lord “destroyed this” or He “smote that”, what he is
actually doing is passing judgment that allows the enemy access. Passing
judgment that allows the destroyer access does not please God. When
individuals are judged they are turned over to Satan.
 1 Corinthians 5:5 (NKJV) Deliver such a one to Satan for the
destruction of the flesh, that his spirit may be saved in the day of the
Lord Jesus.
 1 Timothy 1:20 (NKJV) Of whom are Hymenaeus and Alexander,
whom I delivered to Satan that they may learn not to blaspheme.
 Lamentations 3:22-23(NKJV) 22 Through the LORD’s mercies we are
not consumed, because His compassions fail not. 23 They are new
every morning; great is Your faithfulness.
 Lamentations 3:31-33 (NKJV) 31 For the Lord will not cast off forever.
32 Though He causes grief, yet He will show compassion according to
the multitude of His mercies. 33 For He does not afflict willingly,
nor grieve the children of men.
 Judgment that allows the destroyer access does not please God
 Hosea 11:8 (NKJV) “How can I give you up, Ephraim? How can I hand
you over, Israel? How can I make you like Admah? How can I set you
like Zeboiim? My heart churns within Me;
My sympathy is stirred.
-In Hosea 11:8 God is referring to towns that were judged and destroyed. It
grieves God. He does it because He is the righteous judge of all the earth.
This is not to “teach you a lesson” if anything, judgment comes because you

did not listen to God’s warnings ahead of time. You remained stubborn and
rebellious and now judgment has taken place.
-When things don’t turn out the way we want them to, the enemy comes
quickly and says “God let you down; He did not do this or that”. He gets a
seed in your thinking that God is not fare or just or right. We need to
remember the devil is a liar; God has never let anyone down. People may
have let you down or you may have let yourself down, God has not. If we
stay on God’s side and trust Him, we will find there were things happening
we just did not understand at the time. Always stay on God’s side and
everything will eventually come to light.
-There was a point in time when for years God sent messenger after
messenger to try to get the Israelites to change their course. If you read 2
Kings 17 it tells of some of the things that were happening. They went as far
as burning their children in the fire. God is merciful but he must judge sin
and wickedness, there must be justice. He will judge even His own. The
Bible says several times throughout their history that the Israelites kept
killing God’s messengers and would not listen and turn. God had to judge
them.
 1 Corinthians 11:29-32 (NKJV) 29 For he who eats and drinks in an
unworthy manner eats and drinks judgment to himself, not discerning
the Lord’s body. 30 For this reason many are weak and sick among
you, and many sleep. 31 For if we would judge ourselves, we would
not be judged. 32 But when we are judged, we are chastened by the
Lord, that we may not be condemned with the world.
-God does not pass judgment willingly. We keep from being judged by
judging ourselves. When you get judged you get turned over into the hand
of the enemy.
 Matthew 5:25-26 (NKJV) 25 Agree with your adversary quickly, while
you are on the way with him, lest your adversary deliver you to the
judge, the judge hand you over to the officer, and you be thrown into
prison. 25 Assuredly, I say to you, you will by no means get out of
there till you have paid the last penny

-He is not saying agree with the devil here. If you back up and read the
preceding couple of verses you will see he is referring to someone you have
wronged and you need to get things right with. Also if you are at odds with
God agree with Him quickly. Judge yourself. Adversary is the one you are at
odds with. God is not looking to dish out judgment. Acknowledge the guilt
and receive mercy. Fix the problem, don’t be stubborn or prideful or
rebellious and continue in the sin. If you continue in what is wrong judgment
will hit.
 1 Peter 5:8 (NKJV) 8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the
devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.
-Here he is referring to Satan. Satan cannot just devour who he wants. He
has to get permission. Satan is the Destroyer. Adversary is a legal term.
Satan brings a case against you, he accuses you before God and gains
access your life.
THE BOOK OF JOB:
Many read the book of Job as though God was dangling Job out in front of
the devil like a carrot.
 Job 1:7 (NKJV) 7 And the LORD said to Satan, “From where do you
come?” So Satan answered the LORD and said, “From going to and fro
on the earth, and from walking back and forth on it.”
 Job 1:8 (NKJV) 8 Then the LORD said to Satan, “Have you considered
My servant Job, that there is none like him on the earth, a blameless
and upright man, one who fears God and shuns evil?”
-Read the Young’s Literal, it will give a better picture as to what was
happening.
o Job 1:8 Young’s Literal Translation (YLT) 8 And Jehovah saith
unto the Adversary, `Hast thou set thy heart against My servant
Job because there is none like him in the land, a man perfect
and upright, fearing God, and turning aside from evil?’

-Perfect here means “whole hearted”. God was already calling out the reason
the Adversary was there. God as always was a step ahead of him, he was
not dangling job, he was saying “I’ve noticed you are out to get him and that
you have set your eye on him”. This gives a clear picture of what “the
Adversary” does. He goes around the earth seeking who he may devour. He
accuses us before God. John 14:30, Rev. 12:10, 1 Pet. 5:8.
-The word Satan means Adversary. Satan comes before God with a case
against you.
 Job 9:32-35 (NKJV) 32 “For He is not a man, as I am,
That I may answer Him, and that we should go to court together. 33
nor is there any mediator between us, who may lay his hand on us
both. 34 Let Him take His rod away from me, and do not let dread of
Him terrify me. 35 Then I would speak and not fear Him, But it is not
so with me.
 Job 16:21 (NKJV) 21 Oh, that one might plead for a man with
God, As a man pleads for his neighbor!
-Job was aware he had gotten judged. Satan had brought a case against him
and Job knew it. He knew he needed a mediator, someone that could plead
his case before God.
 1 John 2:1-2(NKJV) 2 My little children, these things I write to you, so
that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with
the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.
2 And He Himself is the
propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the whole
world.
-Jesus is our go between and he is our intercessor. Intercession is a legal
term. God is a righteous judge, the righteous judge of all the earth and he
passes judgments that don’t please Him and some that do please Him. But
he does what is right and he will not pervert justice for any one.
-If you have a judge that is just and loves his son.
Revelation 12:9-11 (NKJV) 9 So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent
of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was
cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. 10 Then I heard a

loud voice saying in heaven, “Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom
of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our
brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast
down. 11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word
of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.
-Satan is before God all day accusing us, building cases against us. We
cannot say what Job said “I need an attorney”. We have the best of the best.
He has many that will not work with him. He is constantly interceding on our
behalf. God has counseled us to only say his word. Only say what God told
us to say. Satan is constantly showing videos and is pressuring us, he trying
to get us to cave. We must do what our Advocate tells us. Keep cool, only
says what he tells us.
-We are washed by the blood. We are innocent. If the Adversary can’t get a
judgment against you he has no legal right to bring things in your life that
can destroy you. For a believer sickness is illegal, poverty is illegal all the
things under the curse are illegal. We have been made innocent by the blood
of Christ.
-This is why we resist sickness, because it does not have a right to be in our
lives.
 1 John 3:7-9 (NKJV) 7 Little children, let no one deceive you. He who
practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous. 8 He who
sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For
this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might
destroy the works of the devil. 9 Whoever has been born of God
does not sin, for His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because
he has been born of God.

We Are Healed By His Stripes 2

Isaiah 53:4-5 (NKJV) 4 Surely He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed Him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted. 5 But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed.

-Jesus carried our sicknesses and pains so we would not have to. Satan wants to load us up with all kinds of sicknesses and pains and sorrows. He will load you up so it will destroy you. Jesus already bore that, we do not have to carry any of it. If the devil says “here, you carry this”, say “no, I’m not going to carry it”. You may see symptoms but that does not mean you receive it. You resist it.
 Look back at verses 4 and 5. Notice it says stricken, smitten, afflicted, wounded, bruised.

 Isaiah 53:4 (NKJV) Surely He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed Him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted.

 Isaiah 53:5New King James Version (NKJV) But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed. -we don’t have to know how healing works to in order to get healed, Just like we don’t have to know how an engine works to drive a car. However, the more you understand the operation of healing and how it works the deeper rooted you will be in it and it will work faster for you.
-Sickness is always referred to in the word of God as a curse, never a blessing. A curse is something bad, a blessing is something good. You could say the curse is punishment for breaking Gods laws, or the curse was the consequence of disobedience. Thus if poverty and sickness are part of the curse, poverty and sickness are punishments for breaking God’s law.

 Genesis 3:17-19 (NKJV) 17 Then to Adam He said, “Because you have heeded the voice of your wife, and have eaten from the tree of which I commanded you, saying, ‘You shall not eat of it’: “Cursed is the ground for your sake; in toil you shall eat of it all the days of your life. 18 Both thorns and thistles it shall bring forth for you, and you shall eat the herb of the field. 19 In the sweat of your face you shall eat bread till you return to the ground, for out of it you were taken; for dust you are, and to dust you shall return.”

-The curse came because man sinned. God is a righteous and just God and issued punishment for the sin. When Adam and Eve broke the law, God still loved them but they were punished which was the cure. God had to punish even though he loved them, because if there was no punishment for breaking the law God could be accused of being unfair. Satan could say God was unfair. God is fair and just and all things are upheld by the word of His power. What God says, becomes. What God declares is, and we can trust Him. Justice requires there to be punishment. When Adam broke the law he was not deceived. Adam eating the fruit was an act of rebellion.
-Plagues and sickness was used like a striking or a smack:  Deuteronomy 28:27-28(NKJV) 27 The LORD will strike you with the boils of Egypt, with tumors, with the scab, and with the itch, from which you cannot be healed. 28 The LORD will strike you with madness and blindness and confusion of heart.

 The Lord Strikes Nabal (Nabal means fool) 1 Sam. 25:38; Uzzah 2 Sam. 6:6-7; Jeroboam 1 Kings 14:10-11; Herod Acts 12:21-24;  Micah 6:13(NKJV) 13 “Therefore I will also make you sick by striking you, by making you desolate because of your sins.”

 Hosea 6:1 (NKJV) 6 Come, and let us return to the LORD; for He has torn, but He will heal us; He has stricken, but He will bind us up.

-Isaiah saw in the spirit and he said “it please the Lord to bruise him”. As some were watching the soldiers whip Jesus and beat Him, Isaiah saw in the spirit that God was smiting Him. He saw punishment being poured out upon Him. The source of all sickness and disease was poured out on Jesus’s spirit.

 Isaiah 53:7 (KJV) 7 He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet He opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.

– Jesus opened not his mouth. Jesus was righteous and yet he took the beating. We were the guilty and he was righteous. The devil only has a legal right to oppress the guilty, the unrighteous, the sinner. He has no legal right to beat the innocent. Satan had no legal right to scourge Jesus that’s why Jesus did not open his mouth. Satan fell right into God’s trap. Jesus did not open His mouth like He did in John 18:5 when He forced the soldiers to the ground. Jesus kept His mouth closed so that we could open our mouths.  Acts 22:22-29 (NKJV) 22 And they listened to him until this word, and then they raised their voices and said, “Away with such a fellow from the earth, for he is not fit to live!” 23 Then, as they cried out and tore off their clothes and threw dust into the air, 24 the commander ordered him to be brought into the barracks, and said that he should be examined under scourging, so that he might know why they shouted so against him. 25 And as they bound him with thongs, Paul said to the centurion who stood by, “Is it lawful for you to scourge a man who is a Roman, and uncondemned?” 26 When the centurion heard that, he went and told the commander, saying, “Take care what you do, for this man is a Roman.” 27 Then the commander came and said to him, “Tell me, are you a Roman?”He said, “Yes.” 28 The commander answered, “With a large sum I obtained this citizenship.” And Paul said, “But I was born a citizen.” 29 Then immediately those who were about to examine him withdrew from him; and the commander was also afraid after he found out that he was a Roman, and because he had bound him.

-We are not to just sit back and take it. When sickness comes upon your body remember Jesus kept his mouth closed so that we could open our mouths and resist. When the enemy try’s to tie you to the whipping post you need to open your mouth and say “hay is this lawful?” No it’s not lawful. Satan is always trying to convince people that they deserve sickness and disease. Satan may have the ability, but he does not have the legal right to put that on you. You have to challenge him and Heaven will back you up. Know what you believe and challenge him.
